13th February 1927. Georgianna Haggard departed from Southampton to Rio de Janeiro via the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. She was originally from Quebec. She had previously visited Brazil with her husband, the diplomat Sir Godfrey Digby Napier Haggard (Digby for short) where he was appointed Consul General.

She would have travelled frequently in her role as diplomat’s wife. They had four children. After his retirement, the couple lived in Essex.
