In reply to RoseReadsNovels. It's one of those books which really makes you think. Although it's not a favourite of mine, I might re-read it again in the future. The film is very worthwhile to watch if you get the chance.

Ah, this is a favourite of mine, but I tend to enjoy these slow, melancholic stories which many authors with Japanese background for some reason seem to master very well. Sorry, it didn’t quite work for you.
