26th August 1922. Georgette Jeanne Pesquet married Salvatore Muscat in Paris. This was recorded as an Anglo-French marriage. Georgette’s parents were Gustave and Octavie. Salvator was born on the island of Malta, the son of Giuseppe, a tailor, and Carmela. In the First World War, he had served with the Royal Navy and was awarded a Victory Medal.
Malta was part of the British Empire until independence in 1964 (coincidentally the year that Salvator died), which explains why this marriage was in the British records. I couldn’t find any more information about Georgette or what became of their marriage.
