These television shows being censored promoted the values I’ve mentioned and Americans looked forward to coming home from work to family, supper, and the kind of shows that promoted these core values.
Now it seems that a few demand the many to abandon the good in America, using a gaslight to illuminate a new and enlightened path to ever changing benchmarks. Good luck with that kind of social engineering because the ugly face of fallacy will not pass the test of time. How’s that open boarder working out? Do you feel more secure going out to shop at the mall today than couple years ago? How does it feel to know schools now make parental decisions for you and hold you accountable for their actions? Do you like a zero defects society that openly displays hypocrisy? Are you ok with being stereotyped? Do you like the idea of being punished for having free thought and exercising free speech? Is it shocking to you when an employer can fire folk’s because they refused an experimental vaccination? Can you afford gas, or in a position to buy an electric car? How about being bombarded with sexual orientation, do you like the idea of intimacy of others flaunted in public, or miss that part of nature being private? I could go on but instead wil offer a word of advice to those promoting new and improved enlightenment – just this, be careful for what you ask for because once there it’s impossible to get a refund on what is squandered.

Hi and thank you for the comment. I agree with you and deplore censorship on the basis that a small number of people ‘may’ be offended by watching shows they don’t have to watch in the first place! Strangely enough, if a show I watch has content warnings on it, I can reasonably assume I’ll like it…

If we had a little more of the outdated culture still in effect the majority wouldn’t be the minority in this country.
I don’t mean in racial terms but in everything. A select few can yell offense and all of a sudden the rights of the majority no longer matter. I suppose Sunday morning church shows will be pulled or outdated due to the material or beliefs.
If it offends you then don’t read,watch it or do it. Our country was founded out of a dislike for censorship yet those very rights are being stripped by the few that scream the loudest and the majority is supposed to just bow and accept it.

Films and TV are more widely known than books (generally) so they would be the first to be censored. I think common sense is starting to prevail though. It’s a topic I just had to mention. Thanks for reading!
