I like the covers a lot, they look more sci fi than fantasy. I do like the covers of Pratchett’s Discworlds though 🙂
I have read the 2nd book, the pace was still slow I thought, but generally I liked it.

I did not move ahead with the series after the first have since forgotten most of the book's content. Maybe I will give it another shot next year!

Wow that’s a very different cover from Pratchett! Totally sets the tone… Hope the pace will pick up in the next one!

In reply to Silver Screenings. I actually bought the box set of this series (it was going cheap) or else I probably wouldn't bother reading the others. If I was asked to summarise the plot of this one, I would only remember a few elements. Thanks for your comment :)

Blech – it really annoys me when a thin plot is spread out over hundreds of pages. So unnecessary, and I always feel a little ripped off. This is one of my pet peeves.
