Introducing my Project Gutenberg random reads!

I’m combining two favourite things – free books and random generators – in my new reading plan for this year. Every month I’ll be reading a book downloaded from the Project Gutenberg website. The random generator gives you a list of 20 ebooks each time. I’ll choose a book from this list, excluding any in languages other than English, individual short stories (I would rather download a short story collection), volumes from a series unless they’re the first, and non-fiction that would be too technical for me to understand. That should still leave plenty of choice. Hopefully I’ll get some very interesting books which I otherwise might not have discovered. At the end of the year, I’ll collect the reviews and see how the ‘Project Gutenberg project’ went.

I’ll review the first random book later this month… I wonder what it will be?!

Thanks! I thought it would be a good way of bringing attention to forgotten classics.
