What if E.T. went Interrailing around Europe with some beer-guzzling university students? The result might be something like this fun ‘sci-fi caper’ from Rex Burke, author of Third Loch from the Sun.
The three male students are on the train in the Czech Republic when they unwittingly involve a strange traveller in their adventure. They find themselves on the run from men-in-black types, who are searching for the occupant of a crashed space ship. An ancient artefact holds the key to transporting the traveller home.
I enjoyed how inventive and surprising this tale was. Funny and fast-paced, it also seemed strangely plausible and had an optimistic tone. An entertaining read which will put a smile on your face.
